Wool4Health – European Wool for Health and Well-being

Yarn Characteristics
The yarn is produced from the wool of indigenous Greek sheep breeds, such as Frizarta (from Epirus) and Kalarrytiko.
It’s suitable for hand-knitting, as well as warp and weft for loom weaving.
Greek Wool Yarn by Pokari project
The Pokari Project is a Greek interdisciplinary collective of artisans, farmers, and scientists dedicated to revitalizing the value of local Greek wool by transforming it into sustainable yarn. The project also uses its yarn to create Flokati rugs, and knotted carpets.
The project frequently organizes community events, such as the Wool Festival, to teach traditional techniques like carding, spinning, and natural dyeing.
